Q. U recently upgraded ur firmware OR Did a hard reset of the fone, and find out that all the preloaded songs are not playing. U get an error mesage saying. “Corrupted file”.
What to do???
A: Dont fret. Take your phone to the nearest Nokia care outlet and they wud fix it in no time.Q. My phone has preloaded 220+ video songs, but most of them do not run.Why?
A: Actually these are not video files they are preloaded songs only, they are showing up in video because their format is .dcf not .mp3. .dcf is used as protective file for songs,videos etc. But the VIDEO center can not distinguish between them clearly so it shows up as 200+ videos.Q. How Can I fix broken image files in gallery ?
A: Connect your 5800xm to pc as mass storage mode..then apply the disc checking option….this will fix your problem

A:You need to hard reset your device……….

A: PRESS GREEN KEY +RED KEY + CAMERA KEY WHILE BOOTING YOUR 5800 JUST PRESS IT UNTIL YOUR DEVICE RESTARTS

NOTE:BACKUP YOUR PHONE MEMORY BEFORE DOING THIS..Q. How to Update Firmware?
A: There are 2 ways and 3 methods to update your FW.
1. Using NSU (Nokia Software Updater)
2. Using OTA (Over The Air).Process
1. The NSU method needs you to install PC suite and NSU in your system. Then connect the phone in PC suite mode and run NSU. Follow all the instructions that appear.2. The OTA method is mainly to get the FW via your service provider in countries where the phones are locked via contract. This is not much prevalent in india however you can connect to internet either via gprs or wi-fi to get the FW updated. (I would suggest wi-fi as the FW is around 12+ MB and yes it is very much lesser in size compared to the NSU method).
Type *#0000#, this will show the FW details. In that screen click Options –> Check for Updates. It will connect to nokia server via internet and do the FW upgrade.
Pros and Cons
NSU method does a more thorough update but you run the risk of bricking the mobile if the power fails midway of an update. The FW file is much bigger and takes longer for the update to happen.The OTA FW update might sometimes cause minor issues. The update takes lesser time.
Note : Although 5800 uses UDP (User Data Protection) during FW updates it is strongly advised to take a backup of the phone memory before doing a FW update..
P.S: Uninstall all the apps installed in the memory card before a FW update as some apps might not work after the update, the reason being that though the app is installed in the memory card there are always some system or reference files stored in the phone memory and during a FW update the phone memory is wiped clean and rewritten (with the exception of the user data stored area, due to UDP)

A:Go to settings/Application mgr./Installed Apps.//Options/Suite Settings/ON-screen keyboard/off.Q:How to install RAR files?
A:Rar is a file archive just like zip so u’ll have to first extract it in ur pc using winRAR..then install the jar or sis file.
